The skies are clear, once again, to start the day. However, with the wind turning more to the southwest today, we are not seeing as cold air out there like we did on Monday. That southwest wind is going to start to bring in the warmer air by this afternoon. The roller coaster ride of temperatures will climb up today, as Lubbock will see sunny skies and a high temperature of 80°. The wind will be sustained from the southwest at 10-15 mph.
The air will not be as chilly by tomorrow morning. However, jackets are recommended. Lows will dip down into the upper 40s for Lubbock and most areas. They will be in the low 40s to the northwest. Wednesday afternoon is going to see more sunshine and that southwest wind is really going to get highs well above average. The wind is going to be sustained at 10-15 mph. So, we’ll see a high temperature of 84° here in Lubbock.
