The Wichita Falls Police Department said officers were called to the 2300 block of Yale Avenue Saturday night for a shots-fired call.
Police discovered that Rusino Pacheco, 52, was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the mid-section. Pacheco died from his injuries while being treated at the hospital.
Police said Pacheco drove to the 2300 block of Yale when someone else drove up to the same location. They were talking when a shot was fired.
Police said a truck with two subjects left the scene.
