A new study suggested smokers could add years to their lives if they switch to e-cigarettes, or vaping. Scientists at Georgetown University found substituting cigarettes with e-cigs over a 10-year period would lead to six and a half million fewer premature deaths.

People who skip breakfast could be at greater risk for heart disease. That’s according to Spanish researchers who found people who skip breakfast or eat a low-energy meal are more likely to have hardening of the arteries. People who missed breakfast also had larger waists, higher body mass index and higher blood pressure.

Exercising for as little as an hour a week is enough to help prevent depression. That’s the finding of a study that monitored nearly 34-thousand Norwegians for 11 years. Scientists said many cases of depression could have been prevented if participants exercised for just one hour a week.
