The changes to the weather pattern across west Texas will begin on Sunday. The system that brought the cool air and rain will be gone. We will return to southwest flow, which will bring in warm and dry conditions. So, there will only be a few, puffy cumulus clouds across the skies. Otherwise, the sunshine is making a return. Expect wind to be at 10-15 mph, with Lubbock reaching a high temperature of 81°.

The warm air and mostly sunny skies will continue by Monday afternoon. The flow will be more from the south, so highs will be able to climb above average even more. The warmer air will hang around for a few days, as well. We will remain dry on Monday, but Lubbock will see the warmest day in quite some time. We’re going to make it up to a high of 84°. The wind will stay at 10-15 mph, so that will make it feel only a tad cooler than it actually is.
