We have an update on a remarkable Wish Kid.
9-year-old Sophia Campa-Peters has a very rare disease. She will soon travel to Boston to under-go brain surgery. She asked us to update everyone on her progress.
“We would like the public to pray for Sophia, and spread the word about Sophia,” said Karyn Campa-Peters, Sophia’s mom.
“She’s been diagnosed with an unknown genetic vasculopathy. Which means that her brain is attacking the blood vessels in the brain causing them to narrow and close. We don’t know why. There is no cure because we don’t know what’s causing it,” said Scott Peters, Sophia’s dad.
Her surgery is scheduled for September, 19th 2017. Sophia loves hearing from everyone, even if it’s just a note to say hello.
