Texas Tech Football season is right around the corner, with the first game September 2nd against Eastern Washington University.
“We still have some tickets left for the season opener against Washington and a part of that is Labor Day Weekend and maybe an unfamiliar opponent. We hope as the weekend gets closer people will be like ‘hey I’m excited I want to be a part of the excitement at the stadium,”’ Robert Giovannetti, Senior Associate Athletics Director for external operations and strategic communications at Texas Tech said.
Giovannetti said odd numbered years don’t host home games against University of Texas and University of Oklahoma, which contributes to ticket sales.
“Ticket sales are about on pace. But when we don’t have Texas and Oklahoma on the schedule those years are the even numbered years and we’re in the odd number years so we’re about on pace with the past as far as selling season tickets,” Giovannetti said.
Season tickets and single seat tickets are still available for the season and you can get those here.
