The Lubbock Police Department announced Tuesday afternoon that Stephen Joseph Buckley Jr., the suspect wanted in connection to the murder of Jose Gomez, has been located and is now in custody.
Authorities said Buckley was arrested in Levelland.
Lubbock Police did not provide any further information on his arrest.

Early Tuesday afternoon, the Lubbock Police Department released the name of the suspect wanted in connection to a deadly shooting Monday evening at Wagner Park.
Police are searching for Stephen Joseph Buckley Jr., 29, in connection to the murder of Jose Gomez, 23.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Flint Avenue at Wagner Park just before 6:30 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived at the park, they found multiple people trying to aid the victim.
Gomez was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, Buckley, is described as a white male, approximately 6’01” tall and weighing 240 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. Authorities say he may currently have wavy hair.
Lubbock Police said Buckley should be considered armed and dangerous.
