The typical summer time weather pattern of high pressure, sunshine and warm air is going to be the story for this week. We did manage to squeeze out some very light rain showers in the area yesterday evening. That is looking like the only rain we’ll see this week. This afternoon is going to be sunny and warm, thanks to the high pressure. Lubbock is looking like we’ll make it up to 96°, with wind at 10-15 mph.

Expect much of the same for tomorrow. The morning will see clear skies and 10-15 mph wind. So, we’ll begin the day with a low of 70° in Lubbock. The afternoon is shaping up to be sunny and dry with the breezy conditions sticking around. We’re going to make it up to a high temperature of 95°. That is just two degrees above the average high, so it is not too bad at all. At least we’re staying in two digits for highs and not three!
