Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury has tabbed senior wideouts Cameron Batson and Dylan Cantrell along with junior defensive back Jah’Shawn Johnson and junior wide receiver Keke Coutee to represent the Red Raiders at Big 12 Media Days on July 17.

The quartet will join Kingsbury when the Red Raiders head to the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco to open the two-day event. Big 12 Media Days mark the unofficial start to the season with journalists from across the country traveling to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to cover the league.

This is the first year where the Big 12 has hosted its annual football media event at The Star, which is the official team headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys. The site is familiar for Kingsbury and company as the Red Raiders held their spring game inside the Ford Center this past April.

The Red Raiders are set to meet with representatives from radio stations from across the conference footprint as well as CBS Sports and ESPN early during the morning session before Kingsbury meets with the print media at 11:15 a.m. CT. Live coverage of Kingsbury’s press conference will be shown live on FOX Sports Southwest as well as Big12Sports.com.

Texas Tech will have complete Media Days coverage throughout its stay in Frisco via @TexasTechFB on Twitter, TexasTech_FB on Instagram and through the department’s official Facebook page. A complete Media Day recap can be found later in the evening on TexasTech.com.

The Red Raiders are now less than two months away from the start of the 2017 season as Tech welcomes Eastern Washington to Jones AT&T Stadium on Sept. 2. Kickoff for that game is slated for 3 p.m. on FOX Sports Southwest.

Season tickets are still available for as low as $184 a seat by calling 806-742-TECH or by visiting the ticket portal at TexasTech.com. Mini-plan options as well as the “Red Raider Pass” are also still on sale through the Texas Tech Ticket Office.
