Tuesday night a source confirmed that Trinity Christian head basketball coach Jeremy McFerrin will be taking over the same position at Monterey High School.

McFerrin was in charge of a team who went 36-6 and won the TAPPS 4A State Championship, he also led the Lions to back to back Caprock Classic titles.

The former coach at Trinity Christian was promoted in 2011 to the top spot, but spent three years as an assistant for the Lions.

He will take over for Emanuel Roland who led the Plainsmen to an overall record of 11-19.
