Happy Monday everyone! It has been another hot and sunny day across the South Plains with highs reaching into the upper 90’s and triple digits. This will remain the case for the remainder of the work week and into the weekend so make sure to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. While we saw a break from the rain this weekend, it is expected to return for some folks as early as this afternoon and continue through Thursday. This is due to the fact that the dry line will move back into the region right along the Texas/New Mexico border. At this point in time, the Storm Prediction Center has placed us under the Marginal Risk Category with the biggest threats being gusty winds and hail so make sure to stay weather aware.
