Expect cloudy skies for the day on Wednesday. We’re going to see plenty of moisture return to the area, so you’ll notice that it will feel muggy. With that moisture around, a disturbance will also move through the region. So, we’re going to see showers and thunderstorms in the South and Rolling Plains. Coverage is going to be 30%. These storms will have plenty of moisture to work with, so there will be heavy rain. Storms will also be slow moving, so watch for flooded roads. Highs will be in the low 80s.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue on Wednesday night, into Thursday. We’ll see 40% coverage of these storms Wednesday night. That is definitely good, because we’re in a deficit now for the year. So, we need the rain. The only issue with that is the slow moving nature. There will be minor flooding around. So, please use caution. Otherwise, expect cloudy skies in the afternoon, with a high temperature of 81°.
