A cold front is going to move through the area Saturday night, into Sunday. This is going to give us relief from the siring heat that we have seen over the last three days. In fact, highs will be dropping down into the low 80s. Lubbock’s high on Sunday is only going to reach 81°. That is well below the average high for this time of year. The wind will be sustained at 10-15 mph, which is not too bad at all.
We’ll start the next work week (since school is now out) with sunny skies returning to the region. The air is going to stay dry on Memorial Day. If you have any outdoor plans, things are going to look beautiful. The wind is going to stay light, only at 5-10 mph. The high temperature is going to reach 83° in Lubbock. Once more staying below average. We’ll see that all week, with a shot to see isolated storms Wednesday and Thursday.
