Texas Tech University Military and Veterans Program (MVP) graduation stole and family member recognition ceremony

WHO:
Texas Tech alumnus and retired United States Air Force Maj. Gen. Bob DuLaney will speak at this week’s MVP stole ceremony. Graduating veterans will be recognized with special camouflage Texas Tech stoles, and family members will receive recognition certificates before commencement Friday (May 19) and Saturday (May 20).
DuLaney completed the university’s ROTC program as a distinguished graduate in 1973, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During his 33 years in the U.S. Air Force, he served in various locations around the world, including Europe and Asia.
A combat veteran fighter pilot with more than 4,500 flight hours in F-16 and F-4 aircraft, DuLaney has held command at flight, squadron, group, wing and joint task force levels. He also served as part of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon and at the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
In 2005, DuLaney was appointed director of Air and Space Operations, Headquarters, for U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa and served in that position until his retirement in 2007.
He joined Lockheed Martin in 2007 and currently serves as senior manager for F-35 customer engagement.
Free parking will be available at the west parking lot of the museum, located at 4th Street and Indiana Avenue.
