ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Nearly 50,000 more people turned out for this year’s Balloon Fiesta compared to last year.
Fiesta officials say more than 887,000 visitors turned out this year. That’s up from last year, which saw more than 839,000, but still lower than 2015 numbers. More than 955,000 visitors attended that Fiesta.
This year, 12 of the 14 scheduled sessions were successful. Officials say 21 countries were represented this year.
The 2018 Balloon Fiesta will be held October 6 through October 14.
