Lubbock Fire Rescue said ten puppies died in a garage fire late Thursday morning. LFR said one person suffered minor injuries.
This is the full text of LFR’s statement:
At 11:53 a.m. this morning, units from LFR responded to 3111 Colgate for a reported structure fire. Units arrived to find a large fire in the garage. The garage suffered major fire damage. The house suffered some heat and smoke damage. There was one minor injury and she refused transport. Ten puppies died in the fire. Red Cross assisted four adults and one infant who were displaced from the home. The Fire Marshall’s Office was called to investigate but the cause will remain undetermined.
