Family Guidance & Outreach Center of Lubbock (FGOC) is excited to announce its 18th Annual Blue Ribbon Rally Classic Car and Bike Show to be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Lubbock’s Historic Depot District.
This free event raises awareness in April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month. It features nearly 300 cars and over 50 custom motorcycles with awards for each class. Several block parties and live concerts, 60 food and merchandise vendors will have items available for purchase, and a large children’s area will feature a variety of activities for kids.
At the end of the day, there will be a drawing for the grand prize 2016 Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycle, sponsored by Wild West Harley-Davidson, and, second prize, a 1970 Limited Edition Chevrolet Monte Carlo, donated by Matador Motors. All proceeds from this event go directly toward funding programs that Family Guidance & Outreach Center provides free to the community, such as parenting, life skills, and anger management classes to adult caregivers in need of resources and school outreach programs geared toward educating children on bullying, self-esteem, positive life choices, and much more.
