The annual “Cars for Canines” car show and fundraiser is being held on Saturday, September 24.
The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot behind the United Express at 4th and Milwaukee.
The car show is open to all cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles. The entry fee for the car show is $35.
There will be child friendly booths such as the South Plains SPCA game booth and the TC Reptiles education booth.
There will also be plenty of free dog events including a frisbee contest, dog paw artwork, agility, costume contest, ugliest dog contest, cutest dog contest and a one mile pack walk.
The Lubbock Police K9 unit will be providing special demonstrations of their K9 partners in action. Following the demonstrations, Cars for Canines will be presenting each LPD Officer and their K9 partners a very special award for appreciation.
Proceeds from the event will help support Lubbock Animal Services and the other great animal rescue organizations that so selflessly serve our community and help save lives.
