#23 Texas Tech(7-4) fell on Friday night in the series opener vs #22 Cal State-Fullerton(5-3), 7-3.

Tech could never get anything going at the plate, and couldn’t score a run, until the ninth inning.

The Red Raiders scrounged together only three hits before the final frame, but Tech connected for three hits in that ninth inning.

11 Tech hitters didn’t register a hit in their at bats vs the Titans.

Starter Ryan Moseley allowed seven hits and five runs(four earned) in four-and-a-third innings.

The Matadors also committed three errors in the field, not helping their cause.

Tech will play Game 2 vs Fullerton at 11:30am on Saturday and Game 3 at noon on Sunday.
