The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed a plane crash in Plainview Friday night at about 9:15. The plane burned after the crash. It was en-route from Plainview to San Antonio, according to the FAA.
The Lubbock office of Texas Department of Public Safety said three people lost their lives in the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued the following statement late Friday night:
A single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza crashed while departing from Hale County Airport in Plainview, Texas, around 9:15 p.m. Friday. Local authorities reported that the aircraft was destroyed by fire after the crash.
According to a flight plan filed by the pilot, the aircraft was flying from Plainview to San Antonio with three people on board.
Please contact local law enforcement for all information on the occupants.
FAA investigators, as well as the National Transportation Board, have been notified and will be arriving at the crash site as soon as possible. The tail number of the aircraft will be released after it is verified by investigators.
The National Transportation Safety Board will be in charge of the investigation, as well as all updates on its progress.
DPS issued the following statement Saturday morning:
On May 29 at approximately 9:05 p.m., a Beechcraft A-36 Bonanza plane crashed near the Plainview airport. Three passengers inside the plane have been killed. The plane departed the Hale County airport near Plainview enroute to San Antonio. Shortly after takeoff the plane crashed in field next to the airport. Authorities are still trying to determine the identities of the deceased passengers. The Texas Department of Public Safety helped secured the crash site and the FAA will be investigating the crash. Further information will need to be obtained from the FAA.
