(COMANCHE COUNTY, TX) – The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says all 31 inmates and both correctional officers aboard an Abilene prison bus that crashed in Comanche County Friday morning were injured during the incident.
They were taken to several area hospitals to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the TDCJ.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver of a pickup, Kalyn Brymer, 24, of Thorndale, Texas, was killed in the crash.
Brymer lost her life when she failed to yield to the right-of-way of the bus which was traveling east down Hwy 36 in Comanche County near FM 1702 at the time of impact, according to DPS.
