The 3rd annual South Plains Water Expo is being held Saturday, April 23 in Wolfforth. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Frendship High School.

“Save Water:  Every Way…Every Day” is the theme for this year’s free event.

Expo speakers will provide a wide range of information about future weather conditions, state water legislation, rainwater harvesting, and xeric landscaping.  Exhibitors and vendors will also share material with attendees.

Other activities planned for this year’s Expo include:

  • A water “taste test.”
  • A kids’ area, featuring a treasure hunt with activities, projects, and prizes.
  • Voting for the coloring contest grand prize winner.
  • A “selfie station” with Walter Drop—the South Plains Water Expo mascot.
  • Local food trucks selling their wares.
  • The “Green Earth Magic Show” that encourages kids to care for the world around them.
