In Passengers, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt wake up 90 years too early on the way to a new home for humans. They begin to fall for each other, but discover the ship, with 5,000 sleeping passengers on board, is in grave danger. Passengers is Rated PG-13 and runs two hours. You can join the adventure at the Alamo Drafthouse, either Cinemark, and out at Stars and Stripes.

The Harlem Globetrotters will be in Lubbock on January the fifth, just two weeks away. They’ll take on the Washington Generals again — will they ever win a game? They will play at the United Supermarket Arena, and again, that’s Thursday night, January 5th, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $90 with some very special VIP bench seats available. Get them through Select-A-Seat.

And finally, Sing is already in Lubbock movie theaters. Matthew McConaughhey is a Koala who’s trying to restore his old theaters former glory by hosting the world’s greatest singing competition. The final five contestants range from a shy elephant to a punker procupine. On the morning of Christmas Eve, Alamo is having a Sing Movie Party at 10:00. For about $11, you can join in and sing your off, and Alamo will provide the props. Sing is rated PG, and runs just short of two hours.
