Preparations are well underway for the Sweetwater Jaycees Rattlesnake Round-up, which will kick off Thursday, March 9, and wrap up on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
Since 1958, Sweetwater has been home to the world’s largest rattlesnake round-up, sponsored by the Sweetwater Jaycees. It is held annually in the second week of March at the Nolan County Coliseum.
Snake handlers with the round-up dropped by the set of ‘KLBK This Morning’ to give folks in Lubbock a sneak peek of what they can expect at this year’s festivities, even making sure to bring by and introduce a couple of their slithery friends.
