An Abilene man who claims he sexually assaulted several local children is behind bars for child pornography.
Court documents say the Abilene Police Department began investigating John Anthony Brown, 65, after receiving reports that he was harassing young passengers on CityLink buses.
While this investigation was taking place, “John Brown came to the LEC and reported that he had sexually assaulted several children in the Abilene area and had even killed one,” the documents reveal.
He also told police he had molested children in this country and in foreign countries, according to the documents which say detectives were unable to verify the details of the alleged sexual assaults in Abilene.
Brown did, however, give investigators consent to search his phone where they found what seems to be pornography involving children under the age of eighteen.
Brown was arrested on a Possession of Child Pornography charge on February 28, 2016. He is being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
