An Abilene man has been arrested and charged with Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child after the victim made an outcry earlier this month.
Marcus Henslee, 26, is being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Court documents say Sheriff’s deputies responded to Hendrick Medical Center on March 20, 2016 after a mother contacted them, saying her child had texted her, accusing Henslee of sexual assault.
The mother told police she confronted Henslee which caused him to grab a gun and threaten to kill himself. The mother said he then “called himself a monster and apologized to her,” according to the documents which say Henslee admitted to sexually assaulting the victim.
The victim came forward with more serious allegations of sexual assault against Henslee during her interview with the deputies, court documents reveal.
The documents state the victim claims the sexual assault was ongoing for about five weeks.
