The Abilene Police Department has designated some of their space an “exchange zone” for internet purchases.
Two parking spaces at the Law Enforcement Center downtown at 450 Pecan Street have been established as spots for citizens to meet-up and make exchanges after they purchase items off sites like Craigslist and Facebook.
This gives consumers a safe environment to conduct their business with a constant police presence nearby.
The parking spots were unveiled and announced to the public via social media Friday afternoon.
