An investigation is underway at Castaway Cove, after an accident Friday evening that left two girls injured.
It happened on the Cliffhanger Water Slide around 5:00 p.m.
Steve Vaughn, Park Manager, said two people on one inner tube collided with another person on another inner tube. He said it’s possible they also fell from the slide.
The two injured girls were taken to United Regional.
Vaughn said the accident did not happen because of a slide malfunction or a water slide safety issue.
He says the slide will be closed during the investigation.
Castaway Cove is owned by the City of Wichita Falls.
