Adventure Park broke ground on Wednesday morning in Lubbock and should be ready to open in the winter of 2017. It will have bumper boats, an arcade, putt putt and much more.
Kai Evans, a Developer for Adventure Park, said this has been a longtime coming.
“We are ready to bring fun back for families and the next generation of kids growing up in Lubbock,” Evans said,
John Osborne, the President and CEO of Visit Lubbock, said this is a great addition to all the fun things in Lubbock.
“It’s natural that with that development, in addition to the construction that’s about to happen with Adventure Park, I think we are going to continue to see the great things happen up and down our Marsha Sharp Freeway,” Osborne said.
He added there will also be two hotels and a convention center to be built close to Adventure Park.
“There are now opportunities for how much our city has grown and how many more visitors we are getting compared to the past,” Osborne said.
