Last night, Friday, January 15, 2016 at approximately 10:03 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a large fight in the street in the 1900 block of E. Colgate with shots fired. When officers arrived, they learned that the victims had a previous disagreement with the suspect earlier in the day and the suspect and three others had come to confront the victims again.
During the confrontation, one of the suspects pulled a gun and fired multiple shots. At least one shot struck a vehicle and another struck a residence where small children were inside. No injuries were reported. Witnesses described the suspect who had fired the gun and officers located him at his residence in the 2400 block of E. 6th Street.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Lubbock County Detention facility and booked in. The three other suspects were not located.
