Happy Monday everyone! It has been another warm day across the South Plains with highs sitting back in the low 70’s. Thankfully, the warm temperatures will stick around for two more days but unfortunately the windy conditions will return tomorrow. That means it is imperative to be cautious while burning of any kind and to dispose of cigarettes properly. Cloud cover will increase on Tuesday and Wednesday, but at this time precipitation chances will remain minimal. Then beginning on Thursday, sunshine will return and we will see a drastic cool down with highs dropping into the lower 50’s on Thursday afternoon and then into the mid-40’s on Friday. Lows will also drop, dipping into the low 30’s on Thursday morning and will then plummet back into the teens on Friday so it’s important to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and turn your sprinklers off on Wednesday night. Over the weekend, temperatures will slowly move back above average and cloud cover will be on the increase.
