Happy Monday everyone! We have had another beautiful, sunny and warm day across the South Plains with highs back in the low 70’s. Unfortunately, these unseasonably warm temperatures will disappear by tomorrow due to a backdoor cold front that will slide into the region late tonight through early tomorrow morning. This will drop temperatures back below average tomorrow and bring another influx in cloud cover with the potential for a few isolated wintry mix showers. Sunshine will return quickly though with highs rebounding back into the 60’s by Thursday and the 70’s by Friday. Winds will ramp up greatly over the weekend as we watch for our next front to enter the region allowing for our next cool down so make sure to keep your coats handy! Throughout the work week, morning low temperatures will remain at or below freezing so make sure to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and make sure to turn your sprinklers off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways.
