Happy Monday! Today was much warmer than yesterday with temperatures getting up to the mid and upper 80s for most places. Today was also very humid as tropical moisture pushed through Texas bringing rain for some area, but here in the South Plains we only got the humidity from this disturbance. Isolated showers popped up across the South Plains this afternoon from this tropical moisture giving us more rainfall for areas off the Caprock. Fortunately, the rain chances will not go away for the next couple of days as we’re expecting isolated storms. Temperatures during the next couple of days will stay into the upper 80s and lower 90s, but during the midweek we’ll begin to heat up with temperatures back into the mid 90s. Rain chances towards the end of the week will diminish as high pressure begins to build into place and sunny conditions will dominate for the end of the week into the weekend.
