It was truly a frigid day today. Temperatures hovered in the teens and 20s all day today, but it felt more like the single digits and teens across the South Plains. Tonight will be another cold night as temperatures will once again fall into the teens, but feels like temperatures will stay above zero. Fortunately there is a nice warm up in store. Beginning as early as tomorrow, temperatures will rebound out of the 30s. Temperatures tomorrow will already be in the 50s and continue to climb throughout the week. By Wednesday, temperatures will already be up into the mid 60s, and the warm up doesn’t end there. By Thursday, high temperatures will reach the 80s across West Texas.

We’ll get a slight cool down on Friday as a weak cold front pushes through the South Plains. Along with this cold front, we’ll see the possibility for a few isolated showers Friday evening lasting through Saturday morning. Temperatures during this time will stay in the 70s with a little cool down during the end of the weekend with temperatures in the 60s.
