Happy Monday everyone! Just like yesterday, we have more hot temperatures and the possibility for strong to severe thunderstorms today. With a front stalled to our North and the dryline draped across the region, we will see storms begin to fire up this afternoon and continue into the early evening hours. Biggest threats will be large hail, damaging wind gusts 60+MPH, locally heavy rainfall (flooding) and an isolated tornado threat. Storm chances will end early tomorrow morning, but only for a short while. We will see another round begin Tuesday afternoon with yet another chance for strong to severe potential. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80’s and low 90’s through Wednesday with a quick warm up into the upper 90’s and triple digits by Friday. Despite our storm chances throughout the week, we will still see abundant sunshine so it is imperative to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, make sure to bring your pets inside during those peak heating hours and keep them hydrated as well.
