An Air Evac air ambulance made an emergency landing at about 1:30 pm Tuesday east of Post.
The ambulance was carrying a car crash patient and officials said a warning indicator light came on. So the pilot landed safely along the side of a Garza County road and called for another air ambulance – from Native Air – to finish the flight to University Medical Center.
Air Evac operates in several states and has a base in Big Spring and another in Abilene.
The Air Evac pilot then waited on a company mechanic to check out the aircraft.
