It’s that time of year again to get cuddly with your favorite critters! Head out to the Science Spectrum this weekend for Critterfest 2016, Friday through Sunday, and see tigers and lions and elephants and snakes and giant tortoises and much, much more. It’s from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., adult tickets are $12.50, kids 3-12 and seniors older than 60, just $10, with discounts for members. You can get your tickets at the door.

And Lubbock Moonlight Musicals continues its 11th summer season with Seussical. Narrated by the Cat in the Hat, it tells the story of Horton the Elephant’s desperate attempt to save the Whos in Whoville. It’s a great production for the entire family, It runs Friday and Saturday nights and the final performance is Friday night, the first. Gates open at 7:00 p.m. and the shows start at 8:00 p.m., out at the Amphitheater in Mackenzie park. Tickets are $20 for adults and $7 for children, with premium seating available, through Select-A-Seat.
