Amarillo Police said Kharyi Terrell Nichols, 25, died Monday from gunshot wounds.  Police were called before 1:00 pm to the 3100 block of Oak Drive for a shooting.

Police said, “Witnesses told officers that two black males were arguing in front of a residence and then they heard gunshots.”

Nichols was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle and later died.  Police said the other person is believed to be an 18-year male. 

“Officers have not located the other involved subject at this point,” police said. “Anyone with information of the incident is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department or The Special Crimes Unit at 378-9468.”
