The Amarillo Police has apprehended a suspect in connection with the shooting of a man and women Monday morning in Northeast Amarillo.
The shooting occured around 10:35 a.m. at 4701 Amarillo Boulevard East outside of Competition Towing.
Amarillo Police say the shooting victims were traveling in a vehicle together when the suspect fired shots at them.
The suspect then fled the scene in a blue SUV. Amarillo Police later found the vehicle at the Woods Inn, located at 4600 Amarillo Boulevard East and the suspect was taken into custody.
The name of the suspect or the shooting victims has not been released at this time.
The condition of the shooting victims is also unknown at this time.
The male victim sustained one gunshot wound to the head, which is considered life-threatening.
The female sustained several gunshot wounds but does not appear to life-threatening.
