The Amarillo Police Department is asking for the public’s help to located a missing man.
Vernie Jerome Lyons, Jr., 66, was reported missing Thursday morning when he did not show up for work.
According to police, a friend reported Lyons missing after finding his home unlocked and his truck missing.
Lyons was last seen Wednesday night on security video making a purchase at a convenience store near 27th & Osage.
Officers found no sign of foul play at Lyon’s home, but could not determine why he would have left.
Lyons was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap with no logo, an orange t-shirt, and blue jeans. He was driving a white 1991 Ford Ranger with license plate DJF3592.
