Amarillo Police said officers were called to Southeast 24th Avenue and South Buchanan Street for the report of two SUV’s in a chase.
Police were told that someone in one SUV was shooting at the other SUV. Officers located a Dodge Durango and questioned the driver.
“The driver of the Durango told officers that the suspects had backed into his vehicle and then fled the scene,” police said. “He told officers that he followed the vehicle to get the tag number and when they got to SE 26th and Buchanan one of the two occupants of the suspect vehicle shot at him two times.”
The driver was not hurt and no bullet holes were found in the Durango. However, a shell casing was recovered.
“There is no further description of the suspects or of the vehicle at this time,” police said.
