Amarillo Police responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 1400 block of N. Highland that was actually a drive-by shooting Sunday.
The victim told officers that he was walking across the street when the shooting happened.
The driver of a green Dodge Challenger shot at the victim.
One shot hit the victim in the upper arm, penetrated it, and struck him in the side of the upper body. One shot hit a home on N. Highland.
The suspect drove away. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers recovered two spent 9mm caliber cartridge casings from the street at the scene. Officers believe this shooting was linked to a previous dispute involving the suspect and victim.
There have been no arrests.
