Amarillo Police are investigating a shooting and armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning that left a man critically injured.
The incident occurred outside of the Western Horsemen Club Bar, located at 2501 Interstate 40, around 1:00 a.m.
Authorities say the victim was walking toward the bar when he was shot in the back of the head. The victim told the officers the shooter then took his wallet and left the scene.
The victim was able to walk into the bar and ask for help. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
