On May 31, 2016, detectives of the Special Crimes Unit received information about the location of human remains in rural Randall County. The detectives were able to locate the remains on Rockwell Road near the railroad crossing east of the Canyon E-Way. Deputies of the Randall County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Special Crimes Unit in securing the scene while Special Crimes CSI officers conducted their investigation.
The remains will be sent to the University of North Texas to assist in positively identifying the deceased and determining the cause of death.
