Interim City Manager Terry Childers has given his 30 day notice after he is overheard during Tuesday’s City Council meeting calling James Schenck a “son of a b****” during the public forum.
Schenck was at the podium questioning Childers and the city council over the new administrative organizational structure.
After replying to Schenck, Childers can be seen leaning away from his podium microphone and calling Schenck “son of a b****” that was picked up by audio recording devices used during the city council meeting.
Mayor Paul Harpole and City Councilman Mark Nair talked with Childers earlier today about the issue. That is when Childers offered his resignation.
