New Mexico authorities have canceled the Amber Alert that was issued late Saturday for a teenage girl who was abducted late last week.
According to the Rio Rancho Police Department, Andrea Lucero has been located and is safe. Andrea did not suffer any physical injury.
Joe Medina, 37, the suspect, was taken into custody without incident.
Lucero and Medina were located in Indianapolis by the Indiana State Police, acting on investigative leads provided by the Rio Rancho Police Department and other investigative branches.
The Amber Alert is in the process of being canceled.
The Rio Rancho Police Department and New Mexico State Police thank everyone who provided assistance during the investigation.
