Anderson Co. planning Monday prayer vigil following Dallas shooting

In the wake of the tragedy that occurred in Dallas on Thursday night, the law enforcement community in Anderson County will be holding a Memorial Prayer Service at noon on Monday, July 11, 2016.

The service will be attended by the law enforcement community in Anderson County, first responders, and ministers from local congregations. Former and current law enforcement, first responders, and all members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend to show solidarity during this difficult time.


The service will be held for the Peace Officers that gave the ultimate sacrifice in Dallas and for their families. It will also have a focus on the safety of peace officers across the United States and Texas with request for the peaceful unity of all people in one nation and state under God.

The location for the memorial service will be outdoors on the lawn of the Palestine City Hall located at 504 N. Queen Street, Palestine, Texas 75801. Water and shade will be provided.
