Republican candidate for Congress Jodey Arrington was leading Libertarian candidate Troy Bonar and Green Party candidate Mark Lawson Tuesday evening by a wide margin.
Arrington had 172,738 compared to Bonar with 17,117 and Lawson with 9,653 after the early voting plus 296 out of 308 precincts reporting from the counties of District 19.
Just before 11:00 p.m., Lubbock County released final unofficial voting results:
Jodey Arrington (REP) 72,009 (83.82%)
Troy Bonar (LIB) 8,630 (10.05%)
Mark Lawson (GRN) 5,266 (6.13%)
Long before the official results, Arrington’s campaign claimed victory.
