The Ashley Stevenson Memorial 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held Saturday, April 23 at Texas Tech University.
Check in and registration begins at 7:00 a.m. at Memorial Circle. The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m.
The on-site registration cost is $50 for adults and $20 for children (with an adult registration).
The profits from this event will go directly to benefit the Ashley Stevenson Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund was established in May of 2014 to honor the life of Ashley Stevenson, a 20-year-old student from Lubbock, texas who studied at Texas A&M University.
Ashley was a civic leader amongst her peers. She died unexpectedly of a pulmonary embolism in May 2014. Her family has established this scholarship fund to honor her and continue her legacy of service.
This May, the scholarship committee will award a one-time scholarship of $3000.
