A Lufkin man was taken into custody on Friday following a strange outburst at a neighbor’s home.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office stated deputies and Constable Chad Wilson responded to a house on the 100 block of Otteson Lane. Authorities learned Gideon Chance Alcantar had allegedly damaged his neighbor’s house.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Alcantar broke a neighbor’s window and began screaming he was the president and Jesus. Deputies determined the man appeared to be intoxicated on an unknown substance.
The suspect was arrested and charged with public intoxication and criminal mischief. He is being held on $5,500 bond.
